ACLCA
recognises that health and safety management is a significant
aspect of working on contaminated sites and in order to assist our
members with maintaining a safe work environment for their staff,
ACLCA NSW organises periodic OH&S training courses (8-hr and
24-hr). During the past 2 years, more than 60 professional
staff have attended three 24-hr courses and our first 8-hr
refresher course was held in March 2009. The courses have
been specifically designed for consultants working in the
contaminated site industry in NSW and are run by Janelle Adrain
from Health & Safety Essentials Pty. Ltd. Courses are
usually held at a North Shore venue, close to public transport,
however, courses can be held on-site if your company has enough
staff wishing to attend. We require a minimum of 10 and a
maximum of 20 attendees in order to organise a course.
Please note, staff of non-member companies are welcome to attend
these training courses, but will pay the full, non-subsidised rate.
Course costs vary according to numbers enrolled, but the 8-hr
course costs approx. $350.00 and the 24-hr course costs approx.
$900.00 (N.B. these are member rates).
If you have any queries about our OH&S courses, or have staff
that require training, please contact Prue Kohlrusch, Executive
Officer on 0432 604024 or email: aclcansw@optusnet.com.au.
We try to organise training courses according
to demand, so please contact us to discuss your training
requirements. We generally require a minimum of 10 attendees
to hold a course, in order to keep costs as low as possible for
members.
Our next 24-hr OH&S
course is scheduled for 6 - 8 September 2010. Please contact
Executive Officer (aclcansw@optusnet.com.au) ASAP if you would like to book
staff into this course.
