ACLCA
recognises that health and safety management is a significant
aspect of working on contaminated sites and in order to assist our
members with maintaining a safe work environment for their staff,
ACLCA NSW organises periodic OH&S training courses (8-hr and
24-hr). During the past 2 years, more than 100 professional
staff have attended three 24-hr courses and our first 8-hr
refresher course was held in March 2009. The courses have been
specifically designed for consultants working in the contaminated
site industry in NSW and are run by Janelle Adrain from Health
& Safety Essentials Pty. Ltd. For further details about
the course, please see the course outline here.
Courses are
usually held at a CBD or North Sydney venue, close to public
transport, however, courses can be held on-site if your company has
enough staff wishing to attend. We require a minimum of 10
attendees in order to organise a course.
Please note, staff of non-member companies are welcome to attend
these training courses, but will pay the full, non-subsidised rate.
Course costs vary according to numbers enrolled, but the 8-hr
course costs approx. $350.00 and the 24-hr course costs approx.
$900.00 (N.B. these are member rates).
We organise training courses according to
demand, but usually hold a 24-hr course early in the year and then
again in the later half of the year.
NEXT SCHEDULED 24HR
COURSE:
It is anticipated that our next
course will be held around March/April, however, this depends on
demand.
Contact the Executive
Officer (aclcansw@optusnet.com.au) with any enquiries about
upcoming courses.
